Can you be lesbian, gay, bisexual,
transgender, queer or intersex…

…and Catholic?

Yes! Many of us grew up Catholic or otherwise found ourselves in the Catholic tradition. And we also found ourselves GLBTQI. So over 40 years ago, we founded a community here in Denver for people like us. And we've been an advocate for integrating our spirituality and justice ever since.

We celebrate the authentic Catholic Mass with an ordained priest every Sunday. We welcome people of every sexual orientation and gender identity, those who have divorced & remarried, and anyone who has felt excluded from other faith communities. We accept seekers from every faith background.

We welcome the gifts of each person at our door. And we welcome you.

IN CONSIDERATION OF ALL OF THE RECENT CHANGES REGARDING COVID PROTOCOLS, THE BOARD OF DIGNITY DENVER HAS DECIDED TO RETURN TO OUR MORE-OR-LESS NORMAL STYLE OF WORSHIP SERVICE FOR THOSE WHO ARE “IN-SANCTUARY.”

In other words, FOR THOSE WHO FEEL COMFORTABLE DOING SO, (a) masks will no longer be required for those who have been vaccinated, (b) we will again gather around the altar during Communion, and we can join hands for the singing of the Lord's Prayer, (c) the Communion cup will be distributed to those who want it, (d) and for those who are so inclined, hugs and handshakes will be allowed during the passing of the peace.

We recognize that not everybody may feel comfortable with some or all of these activities, and that is completely understandable.  Masks are certainly welcome, and everybody's wishes in terms of contact will be respected.

And, of course, if you have not been vaccinated, then you should wear a mask pursuant to current protocols.

Also be assured that our Priest and Liturgical Assistant will continue to use hand sanitizer prior to and during the preparation and distribution of the Eucharist and Communion Cup.

As for frequency of Mass, for the time being we will continue our every-other-week schedule, and likewise will continue to Zoom the service to those who wish to attend remotely.

We continue to invite you to become a registered member of Dignity Denver so we may continue our important work for a more-inclusive Church. Applications are available online. The annual membership dues are $50 and a portion goes to Dignity USA. No one will be denied membership for inability to pay dues.
